It’s starting to disturb me that Luh Tyler is this cool.
Though Luh Tyler is only two albums in, I thought his project last year, Mr. Skii, was his most important to date. It proved that he could thrive under the pressure that hip-hop fans naturally place on artists after they score a few hits. Now that he has that milestone behind him, I expect Tyler to drop some of his best music yet. That said, today, the “2 Slippery” rapper made his 2025 debut with a new single called “Florida Boy.”
I won’t lie—I’m loving this trend of rappers spitting bars over old-school Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy-style beats. “Florida Boy” fully embraces that sound, laced with Zaytoven-esque production that brings back serious trap nostalgia. The good news? Luh Tyler does a tremendous job keeping up, riding the beat effortlessly, flossing with confidence, and keeping it pimpin’ all the way through. All in all, this is the kind of track that feels tailor-made for Trapboy Q’s alley.
Give “Florida Boy” a shot below.
