Key Glock Sets the Tone for New Album with “3AM in ToKEYo”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Can you imagine eating Hibachi in Tokyo at 3 AM? It’s probably unbelievable.

Key Glock is the epitome of “real Gs moving in silence like lasagna.” Known for his calculated approach to his music career, the Memphis rapper doesn’t flood the market with endless collaborations or unnecessary hype. Instead, Glock carefully picks his moments, maintaining a low profile while solidifying his place in the rap game with authenticity and finesse.

Ahead of his highly anticipated new album—his first release since 2023’s Glockoma 2—Glock dropped a fresh track titled “3AM in ToKEYo.” This marks the beginning of his album rollout, and it’s a strong start.

One thing that sets Key Glock apart from the pack is his impeccable ear for beats, and “3AM in ToKEYo” proves that. The track features a bass-heavy beat with a delicate club vibe that I love (Kudos to DJ Paul for crafting the beat). Glock effortlessly flows between laid-back and aggressive raps, flaunting his success with yellow diamonds, women who like to get a little nasty, and a raw, unapologetic approach to his life. All in all, I am a fan.

With “3AM in ToKEYo,” Key Glock is moving the needle in the rap world once again.
