DDG & PlaqueBoyMax Drop “The Method” After “Pink Dreads” Takedown

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

DDG and PlaqueBoyMax are sounding like the 2025 version of Snoop and Dre.

One of the biggest disappointments in music this year was the takedown of DDG and PlaqueBoyMax’s blazing-hot track “Pink Dreads.” According to the Pontiac rapper, the removal stemmed from behind-the-scenes drama, with a producer and their management allegedly trying to squeeze more money out of him after the song had already dropped.

But if you’re talented, you just go make another hit, right? DDG seems to think so. Wasting no time, he and PlaqueBoyMax are back with a new single, “The Method.”

Powered by a bass-heavy beat that sets the perfect tone, “The Method” finds DDG in full-on playa mode—bragging about stealing other guys’ girls and leaving texts on read. His delivery is effortlessly slick, blending mumbly vocals with a slippery flow that rides the beat flawlessly.

While “The Method” may not completely erase the sting of “Pink Dreads” disappearing, it proves that DDG can bounce back and keep the momentum going.
