3. Leave You Alone
If you told me Drake co-wrote this track, I would fully believe you.
Coi Leray effortlessly plays with melodies in this track, reminiscent of the ones Drake leaned on during his prime. She also seamlessly shifts between an aggressive rap style—reflecting the pain of walking away from someone she deeply loved—and a vulnerable tone, like someone trying to stay strong until they finally break down in a comforting embrace. Overall, the track boasts a fantastic chorus and lyrics that feel genuinely heartfelt and authentic.
2. Keep It
When a woman’s fed up…
In “Keep It,” Coi Leray dives deep into feelings of betrayal, expressing how she expected loyalty, fidelity, and respect from her partner but was let down. The track is propelled by a dramatic, piano-driven instrumental, which perfectly matches the range of emotions Coi conveys. She shifts between a cold, hurt vibe, an emotional tone, and a fiery sense of anger that sounds like she’s ready to confront her partner head-on.
1. I Hate Your Friends
Love is dead on arrival is a cold thing to say.
Coi Leray sounds emotionally drained in “I Hate Your Friends,” yet her undeniable talent breathes life into the track. She crafts an intoxicating melody that resonates deeply, both sonically and emotionally, while her lyrics—reflecting on a love lost due to certain betrayals—make for a compelling listen. All in all, “I Hate Your Friends” is a fantastic track.

S**t, a heartbroken Coi Leray might be her best bag.
As crazy as it sounds, What Happened To Forever? might just be the best Coi Leray album to date. Built on themes of heartbreak and supported by instrumentals that seamlessly blend R&B and hip-hop, Coi delivers picture-perfect melodies and choruses, pouring her heart out in a way that feels genuine and raw.
One of the album’s biggest strengths is Coi’s ability to effortlessly switch between rapping and singing, channeling emotions of betrayal, confidence, and vulnerability all in one project. At times, she sounds completely over him, at others, she’s sexy and empowered, and in moments, she comes across as someone still picking up the pieces of a broken heart.
Though the project is short, it packs a punch—especially if you’ve ever experienced heartbreak or betrayal. What Happened To Forever? is proof that Coi Leray continues to evolve, and this time, she might have just delivered her most satisfying project yet.
