Toosii Returns With “168 Hours”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I said I wasn’t going to cry today, man.

The world’s finally reached a point where we can’t do without Toosii’s music, and that says a lot, considering how hard he’s hustled these past few years. Why has he earned so much love from listeners? Because he’s found this new way of making music—doubling down on emotional vibes and heartfelt melodic raps. Today, the North Carolina rapper is back with a new single called “168 Hours.”

Are you a fan of when Toosii channels his inner Rod Wave? If you are, then you’ll definitely vibe with “168 Hours.” The track kicks off with that signature 7th Heaven feel you’d find on most of Wave’s songs. Over it, Toosii opens up about all the losses he’s faced over the years, his early life in the streets, and how he’s given his heart to his current woman. What stands out most to me is how the song mixes a sharp rap style with those subtle, emotional moments, especially in the chorus. Speaking of the chorus, that’s easily my favorite part of the track.

Apparently, Rod Wave is on the original version of this track. Man, we gotta get that version ASAP.
