RGM RATING

(81%)

Philly singer Fridayy released Some Days I’m Good, Some Days I’m Not on February 28th, and in my opinion, it’s the best album I’ve heard in a long time. The album is split into two discs, each offering a distinct dynamic.

Disc one is light, fun, and full of positive energy. It explores themes like romance and personal growth, with a flirty, upbeat vibe. Tracks like “One Call Away” featuring Chris Brown and “Saving My Love” featuring Kehlani bring sultry heat and bangers that set an exciting tone for the first half.

Disc two, however, takes a much more serious turn. It delves into deeper themes of grief, loss, and internal struggles with career and life choices. The second half is raw, emotional, and powerful, offering authenticity and honesty that resonate deeply.

Overall, this album has no skips. It’s a beautiful mix of different styles and genres, seamlessly blending hip-hop and R&B vibes. Fridayy does an incredible job of captivating his audience, and this is definitely an album I’ll keep coming back to and exploring again and again.
