NBA YoungBoy Drops “5 Night”

Rating: 2 out of 5.

NBA YoungBoy is prepping to release a brand new project really soon.

Not enough people are talking about how NBA YoungBoy has been locked up for quite some time now. The reason I bring this up is that before he went to jail, he was actually one of the hottest rappers in the game. Why aren’t we flipping tables over this?

Though we definitely haven’t received nearly as much music from NBA YoungBoy since he’s been locked up, we have received some, with him even dropping two projects last year, including I Just Got A Lot On My Shoulders and Compliments of Grave Digger Mountain.

Now, YoungBoy is prepping to release a brand-new project really soon, with one of the singles from it hitting streaming services yesterday: “5 Night.”

I’m used to hearing NBA YoungBoy rap over murderous Louisiana beats, but “5 Night” sounds nothing like that. The beat that powers “5 Night” is extra dramatic, with impactful violins and plenty of bass playing a significant part.

Despite the unique backdrop, you get your typical NBA YoungBoy lyrically. Throughout the track, he raps about killing his opps in all kinds of ways, including stepping on them and spraying them with roach killer. He also speaks on the endless amount of money he has. What I do find interesting is that YoungBoy raps with a style that gives me Yeat/Druski imitating a YN rapper vibes.

Check out “5 Night” a shot below.
