Lil Uzi Vert Releases “DOUBLE SEE (FREESTYLE)” & “HELL RAISER (FREESTYLE)”

Rating: 2 out of 5.

Does Uzi care to make good music these days?

Lil Uzi Vert has become one of the most mysterious A-list rappers in the game today. Nowadays, we don’t know if they are behind the songs they release or whether they are still motivated to rap. That said, I think we can all agree that Uzi’s last project was the closest thing to a dumpster fire. Today, they returned to the music scene with two new singles that are just as bad: “HELL RAISER FREESTYLE” and “DOUBLE SEE (FREESTYLE).”

“DOUBLE SEE FREESTYLE” is a short track (1:33) that is a remix of “Chanel” by BabyxSosa. In the track, Lil Uzi Vert does some vibing, calls out the people hating on EA (Eternal Atake), shouts out Justin Bieber, and puts thotties in their places. While I don’t love how high-pitched Uzi’s vocals sound, they definitely flow well.

As strange as “DOUBLE SEE FREESTYLE” is, “HELL RAISER (FREESTYLE)” is even stranger. In the track, using this cold, carefree rap style, Uzi talks about selling their soul, taking several drugs, fighting demons, beating their cases, and having guns. They even compare themselves to Satan. Though Uzi flows decently, I just think the track is a little too weird for me.

OK, I’m officially confused.
