Honorable Mention. Jingle Bells
Only NBA YoungBoy could take a song as jolly as “Jingle Bells” and twist it into something sinister. On this track, he talks about shooting more people than Duke Nukem, delivering his lines with the ferocity of someone who just caught rabies from a wild animal. While the Jingle Bell-inspired hook is the most striking element, the smooth yet menacing production and YoungBoy’s relentless energy make it a captivating listen.
5. Rich Junkie
“Rich Junkie” thrives on its bouncy New Orleans-inspired production, making it impossible to sit still. YoungBoy rides the beat effortlessly, dropping bars about his drug use, violent tendencies, and ongoing feuds. What’s intriguing is how he starts the track with good energy but gradually starts to sound faded as hell—much like me on a Saturday night on U Street after my fifth IPA.
4. Dump Truck
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but “Dump Truck” is all about its smooth vibes. The beat is ultra-chill, almost giving off a therapeutic feel. While NBA YoungBoy taps into his Grim Reaper persona lyrically, boasting about spraying more than a pesticide farmer, he raps with a calmer tone, flows effortlessly, and delivers what I believe is one of the best choruses on the project.
3. 5 Night
I’m used to hearing NBA YoungBoy rap over murderous Louisiana beats, but “5 Night” sounds nothing like that. The beat that powers “5 Night” is extra dramatic, with impactful violins and plenty of bass playing a significant part.
Despite the unique backdrop, you get your typical NBA YoungBoy lyrically. Throughout the track, he raps about killing his opps in all kinds of ways, including stepping on them and spraying them with roach killer. He also speaks on the endless amount of money he has. What I do find interesting is that YoungBoy raps with a style that gives me Yeat/Druski imitating a YN rapper vibes.
2. GD Galaxy
We need NBA YoungBoy to make more fun tracks like this. In “GD Galaxy,” over a colorful beat with a nice bounce, the Louisiana native raps about being from another planet, stacking big money, and, of course, having shooters on his team ready to come off the bench. While there are moments where he sounds a little too outrageous, his primary rap style is undeniably fun to listen to.
1. Trap 101
“Trap 101” might be the only track on this album that doesn’t sound like a dusty leak. The beat is high-quality, with dramatic vibes and plenty of bass to rattle your walls. NBA YoungBoy delivers an outstanding rap performance, rapping with poise, switching up his flows, and coming up with unique ways to talk about murder. To me, this is easily the best track on the project.

RGM RATING
(79%)
If I’m being completely honest with you, I didn’t enjoy a single song from this project.
Judging NBA YoungBoy’s catalog is nearly impossible, as it feels like a mix of leaks, mixtapes, and hastily thrown-together tracks. This particular project is no exception—full of leaks that are evident in its lower audio quality and lack of polish. The beats are menacing, the content is filled with typical murderous themes, and there are occasional soulful moments, but the hooks are hard to spot. There’s less experimentation and singing here, making it feel more like a collection of unfinished tracks. It’s definitely a project to approach with caution and a very large grain of salt.
