Wiz Khalifa has his foot on the gas right now.

Have y’all been keeping up with Wiz Khalifa? Lately, he’s been everywhere—popping up on streams with DDG and PlaqueBoyMax while consistently dropping new singles week after week. All signs point to him gearing up for the highly anticipated Kush & Orange Juice 2. Given the first installment is considered a classic, expectations are sky-high for the sequel. To build even more momentum, Wiz has just released “5 Star” featuring Gunna.

Did Wiz Khalifa and Gunna take a DeLorean to the ’90s to make this track? It features production that gives me old-school California vibes. What’s fantastic is that both of their styles fit the production excellently. Gunna delivers a slippery hook where he speaks on spoiling his chick because she knows how to hit the right spot, while Wiz relies on his signature assertive yet laidback rap style that coincides perfectly with his lyrics about sipping on champagne, smoking weed, and taking exclusive flights with the woman he’s feeling. Overall, this is an excellent collaboration.
