Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Love your partner like Tory Lanez likes dropping random singles.

Hate him or love him, there are two undeniable things about Tory Lanez: the man is insanely talented, and his work ethic is unmatched. Despite currently serving time in jail, Tory has remained active in the music scene—dropping random singles, full-length projects, and even guest features. At this point, fans barely have time to miss his ass.

This week, Tory Lanez delivered two brand new singles: “Rather You Than Me” and “So Drunk I Forgot You”—each showing off a different side of his artistry.

If you’re a fan of Island Tory, “Rather You Than Me” will be right up your alley. The track features smooth Caribbean-inspired production, infectious melodies, and Tory’s signature island accent. Lyrically, he gets flirtatious and intimate, detailing his pursuit of a beautiful woman and hinting at late-night escapades. It’s the kind of song that’ll slide perfectly into your beach party or poolside playlist.

On the flip side, “So Drunk I Forgot You” caters to fans of R&B Tory. Built on a moody, hard-hitting slow jam instrumental, the song finds him narrating a wild night of drinking and hookup chaos. The twist? Things got so out of hand, there’s a chance neither person will remember the encounter—or even each other. With a catchy chorus and Tory’s hypnotic high-pitched vocals, the track is both vulnerable and vibey—relatable for anyone who’s lived through a foggy 2 a.m (Like Richmond Q).
