Adrian is back to make me cry once again.

I didn’t think I could be any more obsessed with Adrian Lyles, but his new single just proved me wrong. He dropped “Concrete Boy” on April 18th, and it delivers all the raw emotion that “King of Everything” gave me—just in a completely different way.

Adrian’s lyrics never miss. This track has a faster, more upbeat tempo, but he’s speaking straight from the struggle and the climb that followed. Basically, he fell—but still rose up from the concrete.

The song is emotional, raw, and rugged. Adrian always carries so much realness in his voice. He has this amazing ability to make you feel every moment he’s singing about, even if you’ve never lived it yourself. The sound is pop-ish with a hint of alt-rock thrown in. My only complaint? It’s not longer. This one’s definitely making it onto a few of my playlists, because I know I’m going to want to hear it often.
