Wanting to be The Grinch before Christmas is nasty work.
Did you know that Key Glock’s upcoming Glockaveli album is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated hip-hop releases of the year? Where’s the stat from? B*tch, the streets. But seriously—Glock’s momentum has been building like crazy, and he’s been keeping the pressure on with new releases like “No Sweat” and “3AM in ToKEYo.” On Friday, he came back with another banger: “The Grinch.”
As expected from a Key Glock track, “The Grinch” is driven by a hard-hitting, luxurious beat—but this one comes with a twist. The instrumental channels vintage ’70s Blaxploitation movie energy, layered with grime and funk that instantly grabs your ear. It’s a sonic backdrop that feels both classic and menacing.
Glock leans all the way in, talking his usual s**t about being the hardest out, robbing folks, hustling nonstop, and keeping beef alive longer than The Simpsons. He slides over the beat with confidence, nails the aggressive delivery, and delivers a chorus that sticks.
Bottom line: “The Grinch” is another hit. Shoutout to him for not robbing us of a fire track (OK, I tried here and failed).
