Rick Ross Recruits Pharrell for His First 2025 Single, “For The Money”

Two of Drake’s enemies delivered here.

If you think about it, Rick Ross has kept a surprisingly low profile in 2025. Outside of a few quiet guest verses, his solo output has been minimal, at least since that viral Drake diss where he repeatedly called him “white boy.” But today, the Bawse is back, dropping a brand-new single produced by Pharrell Williams titled “For The Money.”

Now, if it’s not that signature luxury, mafioso-style rap we’ve come to expect from Rozay, I tend to temper my expectations—and “For The Money” definitely falls outside that lane. That said, it’s still a solid return. Over a glitchy, borderline Latin-inspired beat that sounds more Bad Bunny than Maybach Music, Ross goes off with a rowdy, focused delivery. He’s all about chasing the bag, ignoring the noise, and making it known that he’s still about his paper. A few classic Rozay grunts? Check. A sticky, hypnotic hook? Double check.

It might not be the Rick Ross I was hoping for, but it’s still a version that slaps. That being said… Rozay, can we get a status update on you and Drake?
