Man, I wish Larry June and Cardo tossed Wiz Khalifa on this s**t.
Bay Area synergy is alive and well on “Ya Feel Me,” the new collaboration between Larry June and E-40, produced by the always-reliable Cardo. The track arrives just days before the release of Larry June and Cardo’s highly anticipated joint album Until The Night Comes, dropping July 11th—and if this single is any indicator, fans are in for a smooth, West Coast summer soundtrack.
“Ya Feel Me” rides on a buttery Cardo beat that echoes the golden haze of Kush & Orange Juice-era Wiz Khalifa. Larry June sounds slightly more energized than usual but still smoother than fresh linen, delivering a charismatic verse full of seasonal flexes: making plays, stacking his paper, biking through the city, and burning one while soaking in the good life. His effortless delivery turns lifestyle into luxury with every bar.
Then comes Bay legend E-40, who brings a dose of animated swagger and seasoned game. His verse is full of witty wordplay and unshakable confidence, reminding listeners that he’s cut from a different cloth—one that’s been in the game, made his money, and knows how to command respect. He adds a dynamic shift to the track, injecting even more character into the already flavorful mix.
With its slick hook, clean switch-up near the end, and cool-as-hell attitude, “Ya Feel Me” is a standout cut that feels tailor-made for long drives, rooftop hangs, or just enjoying life at your own pace.
I’m on the West Coast now, so Larry June’s music hits so much harder for me.
