NBA YoungBoy’s “DESHAWN” Debuts at No. 135 on Billboard 200

NBA YoungBoy continues his relentless output with ‘DESHAWN,’ his second project in just two months.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s latest album DESHAWN has officially debuted at No. 135 on this week’s Billboard 200, selling 11,000 units. While some might look at the placement as a disappointment, there’s important context: the project dropped on a Tuesday, instead of the usual Friday release cycle, cutting its first-week numbers short compared to most other albums.

DESHAWN marks YoungBoy’s second album in just two months, following the release of MASA, which debuted in the Billboard Top 10. That kind of consistency shows his relentless work ethic and a desire to flood his fans with music, regardless of how the charts might treat him. The new album also carried some hype thanks to its DJ Khaled-hosted format and the much-talked-about reunion with Kevin Gates.

The standout track so far has been “AI Marley,” which is pulling in the most streams across platforms. “Trap Out,” featuring Kevin Gates, and “Pants Down” are also among the most-played records from the project. However, not every track has hit the same level—“Raq Shit” has seen the least traction so far.

At the end of the day, chart position has never been the main focus for NBA YoungBoy. He’s a prolific artist with one of the most dedicated fanbases in hip-hop. Dropping two albums in such a short span—each with its own identity—is something few artists are capable of achieving.
