ian, Nino Paid & Lazer Dim 700 Unite for “Rich In Rome”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Hip-hop’s new class is hungry, and their latest collab proves they’re ready to make noise.

Three members from this year’s XXL Freshman class—ian, Nino Paid, and Lazer Dim 700—have joined forces for a raw new single called “Rich In Rome.”

While each rapper brings their own flavor, it’s Cardo Got Wings who steals the spotlight early with a trippy beat that gives me final boss energy. Riding that wave, ian and Lazer Dim 700 trade bars about heartbreak, stacking money, and smoking purple weed.

Nino Paid closes things out with the final verse, and ironically, he’s the one who sounds most at home over the beat—even while admitting he wasn’t a fan of the production or being placed last. His frustrated tone actually lends the track a dark quality that enhances its overall sound.

Overall, “Rich In Rome” is a perfect symbol of hip-hop’s next generation. It’s messy in parts, but that’s what makes it interesting. If you haven’t heard these young artists yet, this track is the perfect introduction.
