Jermaine Dupri Drops Star-Studded Atlanta Tribute Album “Magic City”

Jermaine Dupri makes a bold return to the spotlight with his Atlanta-inspired 15-track album Magic City.

Jermaine Dupri makes a triumphant return with his brand-new 15-track album Magic City, his first solo project since 2001’s Instructions. The legendary producer, songwriter, and occasional rapper dominated the 1990s and early 2000s, shaping hits for artists such as Usher, Jay-Z, and Mariah Carey. Now, he’s back with a project that celebrates Atlanta’s nightlife and strip club culture while spotlighting the city’s diverse talent.

Although Dupri is known for crafting timeless R&B and hip-hop hits, Magic City plays more like a vibrant compilation than a traditional solo album—similar in spirit to his 2018 release A So So Def Christmas. The project gathers both veteran and rising Atlanta voices, proving that Dupri still knows how to unite the scene he helped build.

The album features an impressive lineup, including Skooly, Rich Homie Quan, Sean Paul (Atlanta’s own), Ludacris, T.I., Young Dro, and more. Together, they bring a lively mix of strip-club anthems, smooth grooves, and Southern hip-hop flavor that pays homage to the city’s musical heritage.

Standout cuts include “This or That” featuring Rich Homie Quan, the soulful “Atlanna” with CeeLo Green, and the infectious “Ass Shake” pairing Ludacris with Quavo. With Magic City, Jermaine Dupri reaffirms his status as an Atlanta icon who still knows how to move the crowd.
