Cardi B’s “AM I THE DRAMA?” Projected for No. 1 Debut with 200K First-Week Units

It’s clear that Cardi B’s second album is already proving to be a success.

Cardi B’s second studio album AM I THE DRAMA? is projected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with about 200,000 first-week units, Hits Daily Double reports. The Bronx rapper’s last album, Invasion of Privacy, opened with 255,000 units in 2018, so these new numbers reflect a strong follow-up.

Since its release this past Friday, AM I THE DRAMA? has already racked up several milestones. The project quickly topped Apple Music’s global albums chart, broke into Spotify’s Top Albums debut list for 2025, and sparked viral conversations around singles like “Safe” and “Pretty & Petty.”

The album’s high-profile collaborations and bold rollout—complete with eye-catching visuals and surprise appearances—have kept fans and the media locked in. Social media engagement around the project remains strong, bolstering its initial projections for the first week.

If these estimates hold, Cardi B will earn her second Billboard 200 No. 1 debut. With months left in the year, the early success of AM I THE DRAMA? suggests it could become one of 2025’s defining hip-hop releases, further solidifying Cardi B’s undeniable star power.
