Trippie Redd Gets Honest on New Single “Sketchy”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This is easily Trippie Redd’s best song in years.

Trippie Redd has had a wild couple of weeks—welcoming a baby with Coi Leray, catching strays from Young Thug and 6ix9ine, and still dropping music here and there. Now, he’s back with “Sketchy,” and honestly? I think it’s his best drop in a while.

On this track, we get a pretty honest Trippie. He opens up about paranoia, the type of people and women he rolls with, the pills he pops, and, of course, his guns—making sure he keeps that reckless energy alive. The beat is wild—glitchy, spacey, and soulful—like something Kanye could easily rap over. Trippie kills the chorus with those roaring vocals we all have come to love, and his verses slide with a catchy, effortless flow.

Overall, “Sketchy” hits. It’s raw, unorthdox, and precisely the kind of Trippie we’ve been waiting for. I’m rocking with this joint.
