Travis Scott & Kendrick Lamar’s “goosebumps” Becomes the Highest-Certified Rap Song in History

Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar’s “goosebumps” just made rap history as the highest-certified rap song ever.

Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar just made history. Their hit single “goosebumps” is now officially the highest-certified rap song of all time, reaching an incredible 17x platinum status from the RIAA. That milestone pushes it past Drake’s “God’s Plan,” which previously held the crown. Not bad for a track that was never really billed as a mainstream pop moment—it just had staying power and a beat that never stopped haunting people’s playlists.

The record-breaking track comes from Travis Scott’s Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight, a 2016 album that’s aged like fine Houston wine. While the album didn’t initially get the same mainstream love as Astroworld, it quietly produced some of Travis’s most enduring records. Between “goosebumps,” “beibs in the trap,” and “pick up the phone,” the project showcased Scott at his atmospheric best—dark, hypnotic, and ahead of his time.

“Goosebumps” has also become a streaming monster. With over 2.95 billion streams on Spotify, it’s one of the most-played rap songs on the platform, proving that Travis and Kendrick’s chemistry is lightning in a bottle. The haunting production and Lamar’s razor-sharp verse turned what could’ve been a simple hit into an anthem that still sends chills.

Still, don’t count out Drake just yet. “God’s Plan” remains a timeless cultural moment—and if there’s one thing Drake knows how to do, it’s reclaim a title. For now, though, “goosebumps” stands tall as the biggest rap record in certification history, a win that solidifies Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar as one of hip-hop’s most legendary pairings.
