Taylor Swift Aiming for Third Week at #1 with “The Life of a Showgirl”

Taylor Swift might dominate this chart until Christmas Day…

Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl continues its dominant run on the Billboard 200, projected to earn 196,000 total units, including 45,000 pure sales, according to HITS Daily Double. If projections hold, this would mark Swift’s third consecutive week at #1, extending the album’s reign as the year’s most successful pop release.

Meanwhile, Tame Impala is poised to make a major return to the upper reaches of the chart with their new album Deadbeat, which is aiming for a top 5 debut with 71,000 units (36,000 pure sales). The project, which continues Kevin Parker’s tradition of psychedelic experimentation and emotional introspection, is expected to land at #4 on this week’s chart — a strong showing for the Australian act after a four-year break between studio albums.

Elsewhere on the chart, KPop Demon Hunters takes the #2 spot with 96K units, followed by Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem at #3 (86K), and Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend rounding out the top five with 43K units.

As The Life of a Showgirl continues to sparkle on top and Deadbeat makes waves on its debut, all eyes will be on whether Taylor can hold onto the crown for another week — or if the competition will close the gap. Stay tuned for the official Billboard 200 update when results drop later this week.
