Respect needs to be put on Bhad Bhabie’s pen.
Say what you want about Bhad Bhabie, but one thing’s for sure — she knows how to command attention whenever she steps into the spotlight. Since her breakout moment on Dr. Phil years ago, she’s found a way to stay in the cultural conversation, whether through viral moments, business moves, or music. And now, she’s back with her latest single, “Honest,” a track that finds her shedding the flash for something much more personal.
“Honest” leans on a melancholic instrumental, laced with moody synths and trap percussion that give the song both bite and depth. What’s most striking, though, is her delivery — Bhad Bhabie dips into a melodic pocket for the chorus, surprising listeners with how natural she sounds. There’s a tone of reflection in her voice, a calmness that contrasts sharply with the internet persona many people still associate with her.
When the verses hit, she switches gears and reminds everyone that she still has something to say. Her bars dive into her rocky upbringing, with candid mentions of family struggles, particularly her strained relationship with her father. There’s an honesty here (no pun intended) that feels rare, offering a glimpse of emotional depth that some might not expect from her.
This track is not bad at all. I highly recommend you stream it below.
