The evil smile that Cardi B is probably doing right now…

BIA’s debut album BIANCA officially sold 2.8K units in its first week of release in the U.S., according to early reports. The project arrived with plenty of attention, especially after Cardi B tore her a new one on “Pretty & Petty,” but that buzz didn’t seem to translate into strong first-week numbers.

The album, released through Epic Records, marks an important moment for BIA as she continues to carve her own lane in the rap game. BIANCA includes an impressive lineup of features, with guest appearances from Denzel Curry, Key Glock, Becky G, and Ferg, among others. It also houses her well-received single “Birthday Girl,” which gained traction for its catchy hook and confident delivery.

While the numbers might not look big on paper, debut projects often take time to grow. BIA has built a loyal fanbase off her unique style—an effortless blend of high-fashion bravado, slick bars, and melodic flair. In many ways, BIANCA feels like a foundation rather than a final product—something that can gain momentum as more people catch on.

Sometimes, slow starts lead to long runs. If BIA continues to evolve musically and lean into her signature sound, there’s no reason BIANCA can’t become the first stepping stone in a bigger, brighter career.
