It’s Plies, baby!
You really had to be there when Plies was running the mid-2000s with his unique brand of gutter love songs — the kind where he’d link up with hitmakers like Akon or T-Pain to deliver smooth hooks while he dropped some of the wildest, most unfiltered bars about love, lust, and life in the streets. Now, the Florida rapper is back and sounding hungrier than ever with his new single “Beep.”
“Beep” hits hard from the jump. The production is bass-heavy and action-packed, the kind of beat that could make a cup slide across your kitchen counter when it drops. Over the thunderous backdrop, Plies goes off — calling out fake gangstas, woman-beaters, and snitches. It’s all delivered through that signature Plies cadence.
The real highlight here is his consistent, shiesty flow — smooth enough to groove to, but sharp enough to cut through concrete. All in all, with “Beep,” Plies sounds like the ultimate rap anti-hero.
