SZA Addresses Nicki Minaj Feud in New GQ Interview: “It Was a Little Strange”

SZA is finally breaking her silence about her rumored feud with Nicki Minaj — and she’s clearing the air once and for all.

In a new GQ interview, SZA opened up about the recent public tension between her and Nicki Minaj, expressing confusion over the entire situation. “I don’t know her, we have no connection to each other. There’s no backstory,” SZA said. “Like, there was no through line narrative. It was just like, ‘Roc Nation!’ I don’t know where it came from.”

The singer made it clear that she had no involvement in whatever narrative was circulating online, saying, “That’s not even my place to correct a narrative that I don’t got sh*t to do with. It was a little strange. It was very like, ‘Why?’ But also, you know, ’I guess.’”

Fans have been speculating for weeks about possible tension between the two artists after a few indirect posts surfaced online, but SZA’s comments seem to put those rumors to rest. From the sounds of it, she’s unbothered and focused on her own lane — continuing to thrive musically and personally.

As usual, SZA keeps it classy and authentic, reminding everyone that not every internet storyline deserves a reaction.
