Well, at least this track is better than the other one…

Lil Uzi Vert decided to give fans a little something to chew on for Thanksgiving, dropping not one but two new tracks throughout the day. First came “CHANEL,” a slightly bizarre record that had flashes of old Uzi but didn’t quite land with listeners. Later, he returned with “RELEVANT,” a song that—while still not amazing—feels a bit more digestible than its predecessor.

“RELEVANT” gets most of its charm from its production. The beat sounds like a twisted funhouse or a deranged circus—playful, dizzying, and bursting with oddball textures. It’s the kind of instrumental that would pair perfectly with a bag of questionable carnival cotton candy. Uzi clearly decided to match the energy, bouncing between untamed flows, loose melodies, and carefree vocal riffs that feel intentionally unserious.

Lyrically, Uzi stays in his bragging bag. He talks his talk about luxury cars, outrunning the competition, and entertaining women who are worth max contracts. The content isn’t groundbreaking, but it’s delivered with enough charisma to keep the song afloat.

The hook—where he repeats “relevant” over and over—will undoubtedly stick with listeners, whether they want it to or not. It’s catchy in a hypnotic, slightly chaotic way, which is very on-brand for Uzi.

Still, despite the fun vibe and memorable refrain, “RELEVANT” doesn’t feel like a track I’ll be running back. It’s more of a quick sonic amusement ride than something built for longevity. Uzi fans will enjoy the energy, but for me, it’s another Thanksgiving drop that feels more like a novelty than a necessity.
