Damn, it’s been seven years since “Mo Bamba” came out?
Sheck Wes is officially stepping back into the spotlight. The rapper has announced a brand new project titled YKTS, set to drop in January 2026, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his career.
Hard to believe, but it’s been seven years since Sheck released his debut album MUDBOY—a project that gifted the world the culture-shifting smash “Mo Bamba,” now sitting comfortably at over one billion streams. The album also included fan favorites like “WESPN” and “Live Sheck Wes.” In the years since, Sheck has continued building his legacy through collaborations, including standout appearances on the two JACKBOYS projects alongside Travis Scott and company.
Now, with YKTS, Sheck Wes looks ready to reintroduce himself. He teased the new project with a cinematic promo clip showing him roaming the streets, spray-painting the album title across walls, cutting to flashbacks from his come-up, and ultimately revealing what appears to be the release timeframe. The visual feels like a symbolic reset—raw, gritty, and rooted in the chaotic energy that made him a star.
Travis Scott has to stop load managing Sheck Wes. Let the young bull go off!
