Taylor Swift’s “The Fate Of Ophelia” Claims 8th Week at #1 on Billboard Hot 100

Swift ties her longest-reigning chart-topper as holiday classics surge into the top 10.

Taylor Swift continues her chart dominance as “The Fate Of Ophelia” spends its eighth week at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, holding steady at the top of the chart. With this milestone, the track officially ties “Anti-Hero” as Swift’s longest-running #1 hit of her career. It also becomes the first song since Olivia Rodrigo’s “drivers license” to debut at #1 and remain there for its entire first eight weeks.

At #2, “Golden” by HUNTR/X and the K-Pop Demon Hunters cast continues its impressive 23-week run, having previously led the chart for eight weeks. Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” holds at #3 in its 42nd week, a former ten-week chart-topper that remains a streaming favorite.

Climbing steadily, Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need” stays at #4 for a third week at its peak. Meanwhile, the holiday takeover is officially underway: Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” leaps to #5, Wham!’s “Last Christmas” rises to #6, Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” jumps to #7, and Bobby Helms’ “Jingle Bell Rock” moves up to #8.

At #9 is Leon Thomas’ “Mutt”, while Taylor Swift appears again at #10 with “Opalite”, marking her second track in the top tier.

With “The Fate Of Ophelia” leading the way, Taylor Swift becomes the first artist of the 2020s to spend a combined 26 weeks—half a year—at #1 on the Hot 100, reinforcing her chart legacy.
