GALLVS’s “Dna” boasts genre-blending production, infectious vocals, and Kid Cudi–inspired vibes.
I don’t know about you, but I naturally gravitate toward artists who can blend multiple genres, come across as genuinely honest, and clearly have a strong feel for music (I mean, we all should). To me, GALLVS checks all three boxes. He even describes himself as a “unique individual dabblin’ in conformist art while floating through space on a rock at 107,000 km/h,” which is a hell of a way to describe yourself.
GALLVS’ latest track, “Dna,” is a standout. The production blends starry, atmospheric elements with a solid hip-hop knock and a smooth, head-nodding tempo. Vocally, he sounds easygoing and infectious, gliding over the beat in a way that feels natural rather than forced.
Lyrically, “Dna” plays out like a reckless, party-fueled anthem, centered on chasing highs, escapism, blowing money on substances, and living fast while fully aware it might all end badly. There’s a carefree tone on the surface, but it’s balanced by an underlying self-awareness that keeps the track from feeling shallow.
If you’re a fan of Kid Cudi or artists who thrive in that hazy, genre-blurring space, this is definitely a track worth pressing play on.
