Tyler, The Creator decided to give us some serious bars for Christmas.
You could easily argue that Tyler, The Creator had the best year of any rapper in 2025. Between the massive success of Don’t Tap The Glass and the continued dominance of Chromakopia, Tyler stayed in constant rotation all year long. Apple Music even crowned him Artist of the Year, which pretty much sealed the deal. To cap things off, he decided to drop one more statement before the year wrapped: a new single called “Sag Harbor.”
The track leans into a smooth, polished instrumental that feels effortless but intentional, creating space for Tyler to glide between melodic moments and gritty rap sections. His singing comes through slightly strained yet expressive, while his rapping feels raw, focused, and hungry in a way longtime fans will appreciate.
Lyrically, “Sag Harbor” is pure flex mode. Tyler talks his success into existence, boasting about stadium tours, money stacking up, running laps around competition, and staying respected in his city. It’s confident without feeling forced, backed by sharp punchlines and a controlled, commanding flow.
If you’re someone who prefers Tyler when he’s rapping unapologetically and talking his talk, “Sag Harbor” delivers precisely that. It’s a clean victory lap from an artist who clearly knows he’s on top.

Quincy is the creator of Ratings Game Music. He loves writing about music, taking long walks on beaches, and spaghetti that fights him back.
