Sexyy Red Slides Down the Chimney With a Surprisingly Hard New Single, “If You Want It”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

I have an unhealthy amount of love for Sexyy Red’s music.

After Santa Claus finished squeezing his big ass down the chimney and chipping the paint on the way out, Sexyy Red decided to follow up with a gift of her own — and honestly, it hits harder than cookies and milk ever could. The St. Louis rapper just dropped a new single titled “If You Want It,” and despite the playful timing, it’s far from a throwaway.

The production leans into chiming bells, hard-edged trap drums, and glossy synths, giving the track an almost prime Gucci Mane-era energy. It’s icy, bouncy, and built to knock, balancing menace with replay value. The beat alone does a lot of heavy lifting, setting the tone before Sexyy Red even opens her mouth.

Vocally, she keeps things laid-back but confident, rapping about the power of her vagina, which probably deserves first-team all-NBA honors at this point. The repeated “if you want it” refrain ends up being the real star — it’s simple, sticky, and weirdly addictive.

Based on the artwork and timing, this could’ve easily been some throwaway holiday s**t. Instead, “If You Want It” comes through tougher than expected.
