NBA YoungBoy delivers a laid-back, melodic bop on “Baby Boo,” pairing hypnotic vocals with confident bars aimed at his woman.
NBA YoungBoy is gearing up to drop two things in the near future: another child and a new project. While neither has a release date locked in, there’s growing reason to believe the latter could arrive as soon as tomorrow. Why? He teased it briefly on social media before deleting the post and has been steadily feeding fans with new music in the meantime.
Earlier this week, he came through with “Creep Up On Ya,” and now he’s back with “Baby Boo,” a laid-back cut that leans into his melodic bag. The track features hypnotic singing, lightly turnt rap pockets, and lyrics aimed at reassuring his woman that only he can give her the life she deserves.
While the production could have hit a little harder and the chorus might’ve benefited from a cleaner vocal take, “Baby Boo” still lands as a solid bop. The real highlight is the ad-libbing layered into the hook, which gives the song its personality and keeps it floating even when the beat feels a bit thin.
NBA YoungBoy has more videos out than ICE agents right now.
