The Baton Rouge rapper continues his historic run as Slime Cry claims the top spot on Apple Music.
NBA YoungBoy just added another milestone to an already ridiculous run. His new album Slime Cry has officially hit #1 on US Apple Music, proving once again that his grip on the culture hasn’t loosened one bit.
What makes this achievement even crazier is the context. YoungBoy’s 2025 was anything but normal. Despite ongoing legal restrictions, he still managed to flood the streets with music, releasing two official projects, including the commercially successful Make America Slime Again (MASA) and DESHAWN alongside DJ Khaled. And somehow, in between all that, he dropped what felt like thousands of music videos, keeping fans constantly fed.
Now stepping into 2026, the momentum hasn’t slowed. Slime Cry arrived to massive hype, instantly resonating with his core audience and pushing him straight to the top of Apple Music’s charts. Around the same time, YoungBoy was also named the most RIAA-certified rapper of all time, a stat that speaks volumes, given he is only 26.
I’m very curious to know where NBA YoungBoy lands in all-time lists.
