Blueface, DDG, and Rich The Kid Team Up For “Vibes”

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Three internet-savvy rappers, one spooky beat, and exactly the energy you expect.

When it comes to certified troublemakers in hip-hop, Blueface, DDG, and Rich The Kid are always in the conversation. Whether it’s saying something wild online or leaning fully into their viral-ability, these three know how to keep eyes on them. More importantly, they also sound like they’re actually enjoying themselves when they rap, which makes their link-up on “Vibes” feel inevitable.

The track rides a slightly spooky, bass-heavy instrumental that knocks just enough to keep your head moving without trying to do too much. Rich The Kid sets the tone early with a catchy-ass hook that I can see going crazy in clubs. DDG follows with a solid verse, sounding like he’s on the verge of passing out while delivering a solid melodic rap flow. Then there’s Blueface, whose off-kilter delivery feels like he woke up five minutes ago and still decided to hop on the mic anyway. Lyrically, all of them brag their asses off.

“Vibes” isn’t going to move the needle that far, but it is catchy enough to play again.
