Harry Styles may be back in his charts era.

According to early projections from HITS Daily Double, Harry Styles’ new album Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally is expected to debut with an impressive 500,000–600,000 units on the Billboard 200. If those numbers hold, it would mark one of the biggest openings of the year — and possibly Harry’s strongest debut to date.

But that’s not the only headline.

Many industry watchers are speculating that Harry could be competing with BTS’ upcoming album ARIRANG for the No. 1 spot. And if you’ve been paying attention over the years, you know this isn’t random.

Harry Styles’ fanbase and BTS’ ARMY have had a long-standing, mostly friendly rivalry when it comes to streaming, sales, and chart achievements. Both fandoms are organized, passionate, and extremely online — a combination that can turn any release week into an Olympic-level event.

From coordinated streaming parties to bulk-buy campaigns, these communities understand the assignment every time. So the idea of both albums arriving in close proximity? It feels less like coincidence and more like a pop culture moment waiting to unfold.

What makes this potential battle interesting is how different the artists are sonically and culturally. Harry leans into theatrical pop-rock and disco-inspired flair, while BTS often blends pop, hip-hop, and global influences with deeply layered storytelling. Yet both acts command massive international audiences and move serious units.

If projections remain steady, this could easily become one of the most talked-about Billboard 200 races of the year.

And honestly? A little friendly competition keeps things exciting.
