Drake Hits New High When It Comes To Monthly Spotify Listeners

Drake’s winning by doing… nothing?

Drake is bending the rules of the streaming era. In 2026, with no new releases, he’s reached a career-high 88.74 million monthly listeners on Spotify, surpassing his previous peak. Drake currently sits at the top of the Spotify monthly chart for most-listened-to rappers.

Let that sink in. No album. No surprise drop. No loosies. Still number one.

Even looking back at 2025, his output was minimal. The biggest moment came from $ome $exy $ongs 4 U with PARTYNEXTDOOR, powered by “NOKIA.” While that track did numbers, it doesn’t fully explain why Drake is climbing instead of coasting.

The answer is simple: timeless records. Take Care continues to rack up streams years later, and tracks like “One Dance” and “God’s Plan” haven’t slowed down at all. They’re practically built into streaming culture at this point.

And remember when people said Kendrick Lamar ended him? That narrative looks shaky now. If anything, the attention may have boosted his visibility.

Does Drake even need to drop ICEMAN? If he’s getting Spotify numbers like this, he’s probably just doing it for the love of the game.
