Ariana Grande is ready to own the summer.
Ariana Grande has officially announced that she will release a brand-new album titled Petal on July 31. That means the hottest stretch of the year could come with fresh music from one of the biggest pop stars walking the planet right now.
According to Pop Base, Ariana will also own the masters to the project, which is set to be released through BabyDoll Music in association with Republic Records. That is another power move from an artist who has been stacking smart decisions like trophies over the last few years.
Ariana has not released a standard studio album since eternal sunshine in 2024, a project that featured major hits like “we can’t be friends (wait for your love)” and “yes, and?” Since then, she has hardly been invisible. She stayed active through soundtrack work tied to Wicked and its sequel, plus deluxe editions that kept eternal sunshine circulating.
Outside of music, she has also continued building her acting résumé through projects like Don’t Look Up, Wicked, and upcoming film work connected to that universe.
The bottom line is simple: the streets need a new Ariana Grande album, and it looks like relief is arriving July 31. Katy Perry and I will be there.
