This track was very different from what I expected, but I’m here for it.
Chris Brown and Leon Thomas come together for “Fallin,” a soulful and emotionally layered R&B track that leans into bluesy rock influences in a really smooth way.
From the jump, the song feels slow and heavy, like it is meant to sit with you for a minute instead of rushing past you. It pulls you into that space where love is not perfect, but it is still very real.
At its core, “Fallin” is about loving someone through the ups and downs. In particular, it touches on the back-and-forth that happens in relationships; the kind where things are not always easy, but walking away is not simple either. There is a strong sense of distance here, both emotional and physical, but also a clear desire to hold on anyway. That tension is what really drives the track.
Leon Thomas brings a verse that feels true to his style: Smooth, expressive, and a little introspective. It blends effortlessly with Chris Brown’s delivery, and the two complement each other in a way that feels natural instead of forced.
When Chris Brown and Leon Thomas link up, they are literally undefeated.
