Isaiah Rashad’s comeback was so worth it.
Isaiah Rashad is projected to debut at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 with IT’S BEEN AWFUL, moving around 29,000 units in its first week, including 10,000 pure sales. The numbers reflect a steady return after a noticeable gap between releases.
Rashad had been relatively inactive since dropping The House Is Burning in 2021. That absence created some uncertainty about how his next project would land commercially. Based on early projections, demand remains strong, even if not at blockbuster levels.
The album runs sixteen tracks and leans into a mix of experimentation and direct songwriting. Rashad sounds more open than before, touching on personal situations, relationships, and his mindset without much filtering. The production shifts throughout, giving him room to try different approaches across the tracklist.
Guest appearances are limited, with SZA and Dominic Fike contributing without dominating the project. Tracks like “HAPPY HOUR,” “BOY IN RED,” and “CAMERAS” stand out as some of the more notable records.
Given how lowkey Isaiah Rashad has been, these numbers for this album should surprise no one (Take that however you want to take that).
