“Like That” surpasses one billion Spotify streams after igniting one of hip-hop’s biggest modern rap feuds.
Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar’s “Like That” has officially surpassed one billion streams on Spotify. The milestone, which was highlighted by Kurruco, confirms that the song was far more than a temporary viral hit tied to rap drama. Even after the headlines cooled off, the record has continued to thrive because the music itself still hits hard.
One can easily argue that “Like That” launched the biggest rap beef of this generation. Released on Future and Metro Boomin’s WE DON’T TRUST YOU, the track already had all the ingredients needed to become massive. Metro Boomin delivered what many still consider one of the best beats of the decade, while Future floated across the production with one of his most memorable hooks in years.
Of course, Kendrick Lamar’s verse became the real explosion point. His direct shots at Drake and J. Cole instantly shifted the tone of hip-hop conversations and sparked months of diss records, debates, and internet chaos. At one point, it felt impossible to scroll through social media without hearing somebody discuss the fallout from that verse.
Though Metro, Future, and Kendrick all have multiple billion-stream tracks, this one feels the most effortless.
