Drake’s enemies are promoting “ICEMAN” harder than some actual Drake fans right now.
Drake’s ICEMAN rollout continues to get more confusing. This time, radio personality DJ Hed claimed that Drake may be releasing a second album shortly after ICEMAN arrives. In a social media post, DJ Hed wrote, “+ alleged ‘Man Of Honor’ (2nd album) droppin like an hour later.”
What makes this situation strange is that several people who have publicly criticized Drake or sided against him during the Kendrick Lamar battle are suddenly becoming sources for information surrounding the album. DJ Hed heavily supported Kendrick Lamar during the feud. Recently, Joe Budden also discussed details about ICEMAN, despite rumors Drake disses him on the project. Charlamagne tha God mentioned that Future might be attached to the album, while Ebro Darden posted online today about being ready for the release.
At this point, it is difficult to tell whether people are trolling, leaking legitimate information, or simply chasing engagement online. Still, Drake has clearly been working quietly for months. Based on leaks like “1AM in Albany” and “Asta La Vista,” he appears focused heavily on rapping this time around. If a second album actually exists, it could potentially lean more toward melodic or R&B material. I guess we’ll have to wait a few hours and see.
