Drake dropped three albums, and everyone still sprinted toward the angry one.

Drake continues to put up absurd streaming numbers. His latest album, ICEMAN, earned 140.2 million first-day Spotify streams, making it the biggest album debut of 2026 so far.

The project also became the second-biggest hip-hop album debut in Spotify history, trailing only Drake’s own Certified Lover Boy. On top of that, every one of the album’s 18 tracks debuted atop the U.S. Spotify chart.

Overall, Drake’s three newly released albums combined for 197,000,974 first-day Spotify streams. However, the gap between ICEMAN and the other two projects is impossible to ignore. HABIBTI earned just over 27 million streams, while MAID OF HONOUR brought in roughly 29 million.

That difference says a lot. It seems pretty clear listeners were mainly focused on ICEMAN, which is easily the most direct and rap-heavy release of the three. After everything Drake went through publicly in 2024, people likely wanted to hear his perspective and expected this project to contain the real substance.

Or maybe listeners simply prefer hearing Drake rap over making club records and slow-burning R&B experiments. Either way, ICEMAN clearly separated itself from the pack immediately.
