Drake’s “Janice STFU” Reaches #1 Across Major Streaming Charts

Out of all the songs on “ICEMAN,” this is the one I simply couldn’t get out of my head.

Drake’s “Janice STFU” has reached #1 across multiple major streaming charts, including US Apple Music, Global Apple Music, and US Spotify.

The track’s rapid rise comes after a busy weekend for Drake, who released three different projects, each leaning into separate sounds and styles. This track appeared on ICEMAN, which I consider the strongest of the three releases. Honestly, “Janice STFU” probably could have fit on MAID OF HONOUR as well.

Part of the track’s appeal appears to come from its chorus, which relies heavily on distorted vocals and hypnotic repetition. While the verses themselves are more straightforward, the hook has become the main talking point online and among listeners.

Legendary producer and AI enthusiast Timbaland recently called the song a potential anthem of the year, telling listeners to trust his instincts when it comes to identifying hits. That is major praise coming from someone with his track record.

Did this dude really make a smash hit called “Janice STFU?” Drake can literally do whatever he wants, man.
