GIVEON – BELOVED: ACT II (Album Review)

GIVEON adds five more tracks to his “BELOVED” album from last year.

GIV?ON is one of those artists who quietly racks up massive streaming numbers without constantly dominating headlines. It makes sense, too. His voice has a weight that can completely shift a room’s mood. At the same time, he’s not necessarily an artist people throw on casually every single day. Still, whenever he drops new music, people pay attention.

Recently, GIVEON added five new tracks to his BELOVED album, and overall, the additions fit naturally into the project’s timeless R&B direction. “JEZEBEL” carries the kind of energy that feels built for family cookouts and warm-weather gatherings, while “SAVE SOME MORE” with Kehlani leans into smoother and more atmospheric production. “FOOL ME ONCE” featuring Leon Thomas adds a little more bounce and punch to the mix without disrupting the album’s overall tone.

The expanded version also includes “REPLICA” with Sasha Keable and “KEEPER” featuring Teddy Swims (My favorite track out of the five). Across all five tracks, GIVEON sticks to what works for him: rich vocals, direct songwriting, and mature themes centered around love, heartbreak, and complicated relationships. The additions don’t feel forced or unnecessary. Instead, they strengthen the atmosphere that BELOVED already established.
