Drake basically turned the Billboard Hot 100 into his playlist.
Drake is projected to chart a record-breaking 42 songs simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, according to early industry forecasts (Shoutout Talk of the Charts). The current record belongs to Morgan Wallen, who previously placed 37 songs on the chart at the same time.
The projected achievement follows Drake’s release of three separate albums in one weekend: ICEMAN, HABIBTI, and MAID OF HONOUR. Combined, the projects contain 43 total tracks, meaning nearly every song released is expected to appear on the chart.
Leading the pack is “Janice STFU,” which is currently projected to debut at No. 1. Other songs expected to land inside the top five include “Ran To Atlanta,” “Whisper My Name,” and “Shabang.” Much of the early chart dominance is coming from ICEMAN, which reportedly occupies 12 of the top 13 projected spots. The only interruption is Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas,” which is expected to land at No. 5.
The projections continue what has already been one of the most commercially dominant weeks of Drake’s career. Along with massive streaming numbers, the Toronto artist is also projected to become the first artist in Billboard 200 history to debut three albums simultaneously inside the chart’s top three.
