Anderson .Paak’s “K-POPS!” combines music from and inspired by the film of the same name, and the result is honestly one of the more unique releases in recent memory.

5. PITC (PARTY IN THE CORNER)
There’s a lot of repetition on “PITC (PARTY IN THE CORNER),” but it honestly works in the song’s favor. Rather than becoming irritating, the repeated elements make the track feel more addictive and easier to lose yourself in.
The song moves with nonstop energy, carrying the kind of pulse that feels tailor-made for clubs, parties, and packed dance floors. Production-wise, it relies heavily on booming beats and momentum instead of excessive instrumentation, and that minimal approach helps the track feel focused and explosive. The overall vibe feels wild, energetic, and impossible to stand still to.
4. LOVE IS EVERYWHERE
There’s something genuinely uplifting about “LOVE IS EVERYWHERE.” Soul Rasheed’s voice immediately stands out, carrying a musicality that feels natural and deeply rooted. The track itself revolves around a simple but effective message: love doesn’t only exist in romantic relationships. It can live in memories, environments, emotions, art, and ordinary moments people often overlook.
That theme pairs perfectly with the funky production, soulful textures, and K-pop-inspired energy that make the song feel colorful, comforting, and full of life throughout.
3. ONE MORE DANCE
There’s a really sweet energy running throughout “ONE MORE DANCE.” It revolves around enjoying someone’s presence, wanting more time together, and getting lost in simple romantic moments like dancing and staying close.
While the song’s foundation is rooted in R&B, there are clear K-pop-inspired elements layered into its melodies and overall production style. One thing I appreciated is that the track never tries too hard to be dramatic or seductive. It keeps things fun, warm, and carefree, which gives it a very natural charm.
2. CAN’T GET ENOUGH
“CAN’T GET ENOUGH” feels like the moment Anderson .Paak fully settles into his comfort zone on the album. The production leans strongly into classic funk and soul sounds, but it never loses the modern energy that keeps it feeling fresh. The vibe is relaxed, romantic, and completely focused on connection and intimacy. There’s a warmth to the song that makes it feel personal, almost like it was designed specifically for late-night slow dancing. The ending breakdown also stands out, adding a smooth transition that gives the track even more character.
1. WHAT ABOUT US
One thing about JID is that he rarely misses. This track brings a darker and more bittersweet energy compared to some of the brighter moments scattered across the album, and honestly, that contrast works extremely well. The song revolves around a relationship slowly collapsing, with one person emotionally disconnecting while the other desperately tries to hold everything together. JID slides into that tension naturally, delivering a verse that feels emotional, honest, and intense without sounding forced. Even with the shorter runtime, the track still manages to feel emotionally rich and fully developed.

The album K-POPS! blends K-pop-inspired production with Anderson’s signature funk, soul, hip-hop, and R&B influences in a way that feels colorful, creative, and genuinely fun.
There is a lot of genre-blending throughout the project, but it never feels messy or confusing. Instead, the album moves confidently between upbeat dance tracks, soulful grooves, emotional moments, and full-blown party anthems. You can really tell everyone involved had fun making this album, and that energy comes through in the music.
The project radiates positivity for the most part. There are songs about romance, flirting, partying, connection, and simply enjoying life. Even during the album’s more emotional or bittersweet moments, there is still this warmth underneath everything that keeps the overall mood uplifting.
The features throughout the album also deserve credit, as each artist brings something different to the table without disrupting the project’s flow. Every collaboration adds another layer of personality and energy.
Even if K-pop is not normally your thing, there is enough variety here that almost anyone could probably find at least one song that clicks for them. K-POPS! feels bright, carefree, and packed with personality, exactly the kind of album that is easy to throw on and just enjoy.
