Chris Brown apparently felt guilty about only giving us 27 tracks on the original version.
Critics and fans don’t always see eye-to-eye, and Chris Brown’s BROWN is a perfect example of that reality. While several publications handed the album underwhelming reviews, listeners showed up in a major way, helping the project move 65,000 units during its opening week. Now, Brown is preparing to capitalize on that momentum.
The singer recently announced THE CHOCOLATE EDITION, a deluxe version of BROWN that will expand the album with ten additional songs. Considering the original release already featured 27 tracks, the expanded edition will provide fans with plenty of new material to explore.
To tease the project, Brown shared new artwork that embraces the concept completely. The image features him wearing brown clothing, sitting on a brown car, and surrounded by a matching aesthetic that leaves little room for interpretation.
The deluxe edition is scheduled to arrive on June 19. At this stage of his career, Chris Brown seems far more focused on rewarding his fanbase than winning over critics. Given the commercial success of BROWN, adding more music to the rollout feels like a logical next step.
