Conway the Machine Shows No Signs of Slowing Down on “I HEARD YOU PAINT HOUSES”

The Buffalo legend proves that he can destroy literally any beat you put in front of him.

Conway the Machine sounds like someone who raps purely for the love of it, which helps explain his constant output of projects.

His latest, I HEARD YOU PAINT HOUSES with DJ Whoo Kid, features 16 tracks packed with bars that rank among the best you’ll hear today. Conway moves comfortably across both old-school and modern production, including Drake’s “Make Them Pay,” Clipse’s “Whips & Chains,” “TV Off,” and even a flip of 702’s “Steelo” (What a brave-ass dude).

You can tell he has fun experimenting with the different sounds, but as usual, he leans into gritty braggadocio, street talk, and sharp gun bars throughout.

As a fan of the old-school mixtape era, this is the type of s**t I used to love back then.
