Top 5 Albums on the Billboard 200 This Week (06/29): Olivia Rodrigo, Drake & Ella Langley

Olivia Rodrigo leads a group of projects that refuse to leave the top 5 on this week’s Billboard 200.

5. Noah Kahan – The Great Divide (67K Units)

If Noah Kahan walked down the street right now, I would not recognize him. That is so awesome to me. Why? Because it seems like he’s living a normal life yet still succeeding at moving units. This week, he adds 67,000 units to his The Great Divide project, bringing his total to 1,153,000 since its release. This is another major success story in a year full of them.

4. Morgan Wallen – I’m The Problem (79K Units)

Want to hear something crazy? Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem has sold over 6 million units. With all the major releases from Taylor Swift to BTS, this is the album with the most longevity. It came out over a year ago. However you feel about Morgan, you have to give him his flowers for continuously drawing in listeners.

3. Ella Langley – Dandelion (84k Units)

Ella Langley refuses to leave the top 5 on both the Billboard 100 and Billboard 200. While “Choosin’ Texas” and “Be Her” are still dominating the top 5, her Dandelion project has understandably landed in the top 3 this week. It shouldn’t surprise you; what should surprise you is that she’s seen just as much success as your favorite artist’s favorite artist.

2. Drake – ICEMAN (90k Units)

Okay, I can admit that I have finally stopped playing ICEMAN. It had a great run for me. That doesn’t mean it has lost momentum, though. This week, the album has landed at number 2 on the charts, selling 90k, which is some artists’ best first-week performance. “Janice STFU” is still performing extremely well, while Drake remains a major topic of conversation across multiple spaces. To me, the project is in the clear lead for hip-hop album of the year.

1. Olivia Rodrigo – you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love (180k Units)

Olivia Rodrigo’s “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love” lands at number one for the second week in a row, marking the first time she has achieved that milestone. The album has also now sold 655k units since its release, quickly becoming gold-eligible. At only 23-years old, Olivia’s resume can stack up with just about anybody’s in the 2020s.
